FAQ's
When and where are the tryouts?
Tryouts are done by attending a Splashball practice at Gig Harbor High School Pool. Check out the Splashball schedule located in the Schedule > Practice Schedule tab. Please email [email protected] to let us know you are coming for a tryout!
What does my child need to wear to the tryout?
Any suit is fine for a tryout, but your athlete will want a training suit if they decide to join the team. Kids with long hair need to wear a swim cap. Goggles are not required for Splashball team. More info is available on the Team Suits/Merch tab of this website.
What if my athlete does not yet swim well?
All athletes must be able to stand up in the shallow end and swim across the pool unassisted with their head in water. We will evaluate their swimming during their tryout. Usually, kids get much better at swimming in just a few weeks with us.
